A brawl broke out following the fight between Hosea Burton and Ellis Zorro with chairs thrown across the York Hall arena.
One boxing fan was left floored by a chair thrown across York Hall, after Tyson Fury’s cousin Hosea Burton was knocked out in his fight on Friday night.
The fighting at boxing is best kept within the four sides of the ring, in between the ropes, but unfortunately that isn’t always the case.
Nate Diaz recently proved that when he was involved in a brawl with a ‘Logan Paul lookalike’ during a Misfits boxing card, with the former UFC star set to face the real Logan’s brother Jake Paul.
Diaz appeared to throw a water bottle at one of the boxers on the card, after exchanging words, before the brawl erupted and then spilled out into the street.
On Friday, at York Hall in London, even more disgusting scenes were caught on camera after Burton lost his WBO European cruiserweight title fight with Ellis Zorro.
The aftermath was marred by an awful brawl in the crowd, as chairs were pelted between those in the crowd, knocking one man out, as you can see in the video below.
34-year-old Burton, related to world heavyweight champion Fury, went into the fight claiming he would retire if he lost the vacant title fight to his fellow British boxer.
He had stepped up from light-heavyweight for the fight but looked to be comfortable at the weight, bloodying Zorro’s nose in the second round.
Fury’s cousin had his own nose bloodied a round later but actually got the better of much of the jabbing between the pair, in the early and middle rounds.
Burton was likely ahead on the cards going into the seventh round, even with the London crowd behind home town fighter Zorro.
However the 30-year-old knocked down his opponent in the seventh and after the standing eight count delivered a mighty right to finish the fight early.
Unfortunately after the main event had ended fans clashed in the arena, that is one of the spiritual homes of boxing in England.
It was not clear what started the brawl but the scenes inside York Hall should not be repeated at any sports event in the future.
