The Portuguese striker did not slow down since he arrived in Saudi Arabia to play for Al Nassr, as he had broken goal records in the league and continued to be a crucial player in his team. CR7 looks to keep going, especially after the request his son made to him a few years ago. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. wants to play with his father, and the Portuguese striker looks forward to the challenge. Ronaldo said, “My son puts pressure on me sometimes and says to me: ‘Dad, hold on for a few more years so we can play together.’ It’s going to be difficult even if I still have some years to give.”


 

Al Nassr currently has CR7 until the summer of 2025, but the Portuguese striker’s son Ronaldo Jr. is playing in the U-13 Al Nassr team, which he has found success this season. Ronaldo Jr. won the youth Saudi League and lifted the trophy with his teammates a few months back. If Cristiano Jr. wants to play with his father, the young footballer will need to impress tremendously to be called up for a first-team match in the next few years.

In 28 Saudi Pro League games, Ronaldo has 33 goals and ten assists. If Al Nassr does offer Ronaldo a contract extension, a potential link-up between him and his son could happen in a few games in the near future.

Rumors suggested that Ronaldo’s time at Al Nassr would soon come to an end as he might want to try something different. Rumors in Saudi Arabia suggested that Ronaldo may want to return to Europe to play the Champions League again. Two teams that have been linked to him have been Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting CP. The Portuguese striker has also been linked to a move to Mexico with CF Monterrey or in the US with Inter Miami.
