“Itell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

An interesting choice of words by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who proceeded to (jokingly) criticize Swift’s Eras Tour for not actually performing her songs live.

Both Foo Fighters and Swift performed Saturday night (June 22) in London, England: the former at London Stadium, with the latter basically taking over the city with her weekend-long run of shows at Wembley Stadium.

“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,’” Grohl added. “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f**king errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f**king place.”

Grohl’s comment was no doubt a tongue-in-cheek jab, or even a dad joke, if you will, considering he has shown affection for the superstar in the past (even an obsession with her). But the internet was quick to pin the two parties against each other.

Of course, Taylor Swift being Taylor Swift, didn’t take the bait, instead using Grohl’s comments as an opportunity to show her gratitude for having a band that can play marathon shows every night they take the stage.

“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight, they deserve this so much,” Swift said Sunday night (June 23). “And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”

It was a big night for Swift, who also (finally) made her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a part of the Eras Tour, bringing him out as a special guest during “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” Decked out in a tailcoat and top hat, Kelce performed alongside Swift’s dancers to a rapturous response from the 90,000 fans in attendance.
