Cristiano Ronaldo made the first move, after breaking the Saudi League’s single-season scoring record.

May 28 – Cristiano Ronaldo had his first full season at Al Nassr, also breaking the record for most goals scored in a season in the Saudi Pro League.

The 39-year-old scored a brace in his team’s 4-2 win over Al Ittihad on the final matchday, bringing his total number of goals in the No. 1 Saudi Pro League this season to 35 goals.

The previous record was held by former Al Nassr striker and Morocco international Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018/19 season.

Immediately after finishing the match and setting a huge record, the Portuguese striker went on social networks and arrogantly declared:

“I don’t chase records, because records find me,” CR7 wrote on his personal page.

Ronaldo’s post quickly excited fans, reaching nearly 1 million likes in just 37 minutes.

In addition, Ronaldo’s former teammate at MU, Jadon Sancho, also had to recognize CR7 as the GOAT (greatest of all time) – by commenting with a goat symbol.

Ronaldo not only ended the 2023/24 season with an impressive scoring record, he also set another milestone that no one has been able to achieve.

Accordingly, the Portuguese striker became the first player to win top scorer in 4 national league tournaments, including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Saudi Pro League.

The owner of 5 Golden Balls has a total of 44 goals and contributed 13 assists after 44 matches this season.

Ronaldo and his teammates still have an important match ahead, when they will face Al Hilal in the Kings Cup of Champions final, taking place at 1:00 a.m. on June 1
