Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest football players of all time and is an icon of the sport. Ronaldo is a football legend and has achieved many great accomplishments throughout his career, but all of that did not seem possible to a young CR7 years ago. Ronaldo spoke about how he fell in love with football but never believed that he would become a football star like he is now and has for the past two decades. Ronaldo said, “I started playing football at home and in the street when I was 7, 8, 9 years old, and this is where it all begins. Football was my first love. But I never thought I would be a star. Not even when I was 16… Maybe later, when I was 18 my father always insisted that I follow my dream. He saw that I had talent and encouraged me to play on the street and for our local team, Andorinha.”

Ronaldo talks further about not believing in becoming a major football star until the beginning of the 2000s when he was still a teenager. CR7 said, “I would be lying if I said yes. At first, I did not feel that way. Maybe then, at the beginning of the 2000s, I began to feel that everything would become different.”

The Portuguese striker grew up in Madeira but moved to Lisbon to join Sporting CP at a young age to begin his football journey, but it was difficult for him. Ronaldo said, “I left Madeira at the age of eleven for Lisbon. This was perhaps the most difficult part of my career. I now see my son Cristiano Jr., and I do not know if I will allow him to leave home, even within the next two years, because it will be difficult.”

Ronaldo’s next game with Al Nassr

Ronaldo is the star of Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League, but they will have to go up against the Saudi Pro League champion Al Hilal this Friday at Al Awal Park. The two teams are rivals in Saudi Arabia, and Ronaldo’s team looks to be the first team to beat Al Hilal in the league this season.
