Last week, Cardi B followed up Offset divorce reports with confirmation that she was expecting another child, her third.

Cardi B is feeling relieved following her recent pregnancy announcement, joking with fans that she can now put a stop to a strategically assembled wardrobe aimed at temporarily hiding the news.

In an X update over the weekend, Cardi, fresh off reports of a divorce and ongoing new album speculation, said she was “so happy” the world knew she was expecting.

“I’m so happy y’all know I’m [pregnant],” Cardi told fans on Sunday. “Now I can stop wearing those deum school girl skirts.”

While some fans might debate whether the bump-hiding was successful, what with rumors having persisted for some time prior to the official statement, there’s no arguing that the “deum school girl skirts” approach was seemingly employed by Cardi during promo for the “Wanna Be” remix with GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion.

She was also seen rocking the look in a Mother’s Day post in May.

Last week, Cardi confirmed her pregnancy, notably nodding at Offset divorce chatter with her opening line of “with every ending comes a new beginning.”

Cardi, who shares two previous children with Offset, added that she was “so grateful” for this time in her life.

“You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion,” Cardi wrote. “I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”

More recently, Cardi has made a point to dispel rumors about her and Offset’s marriage, namely claims that he wasn’t supportive during their time together.

As Cardi put it, such talk “is weird” given that she has no idea who could possibly be feeding such allegedly false claims to tabloid and tabloid-adjacent publications.

According to the Grammy-winning Invasion of Privacy artist, Offset has always helped her “a lot” when it comes to business and family.
