Cristiano Ronaldo is once again rumored to leave Al Nassr as reports in Saudi Arabia suggest that Xabi Alonso wants CR7 to join Bayer Leverkusen next season. Saudi 360 reports that the Spanish manager is interested in bringing in his former Real Madrid teammate so he could become the main striker of the team next season. CR7 may have to switch places with the other strikers in the team, like Patrik Schick and Victor Boniface. With the intensity of the European leagues, especially the Champions LeagueCR7 will have to rotate a lot during the upcoming season for Leverkusen.

Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen would prepare for big sales this summer as big clubs are interested in their star players like Boniface. This would be great for Ronaldo as it would be one less striker in the team and he could become the main striker that starts for the important games. Leverkusen will be playing Champions League football next season after winning the Bundesliga for the first time in their history.

Bayer Leverkusen have just advanced to the Europa League final as they drew 2-2 against AS Roma but won 4-2 on aggregate. Xabi Alonso’s team has a 49-game unbeaten streak, as they have not lost a single game this season in all competitions. Alonso’s Leverkusen is close to reaching a historic treble, which could happen without losing a single game. Now, with the Europa League title secured, the team has four games left this season. Ronaldo will want to help the team perform equally, if not better, next season, with a Champions League trophy seeming possible due to the equality of the squad.

Bayer Leverkusen’s remaining games of the season

The German champions have four games left of the 2023/2024 season. Their last two Bundesliga games will be against VFL Bochum away from home and then their last league game is against Augsburg at the Bay Arena. Leverkusen will also play in the DFB Pokal final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the Olympiastadion.
