The reality star spoke about the break down of her relationship
Kim Kardashian has shared details on her decision to divorce Kanye West after six years of marriage.
Kim, 42, started dating the rapper back in October 2012 and were engaged the following year. They married in a lavish ceremony in May 2014 – however, the relationship wasn’t to last and Kim filed for divorce in 2021.
The reality star and West share four kids together – North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm – with Kim writing in a court filing in 2022 that she hoped the pair would be able to ‘peacefully co-parent our children’.
But in a new episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim explains to ‘momager’ Kris Jenner that she grew tired of being West’s ‘clean-up crew’ when he started to act out in public.
The episode picked up where last season ended and featured West making headlines after moving his office next to Adidas in Hollywood after the sportswear giant cut ties with him.
Explaining that she felt ‘so overwhelmed’, an emotional Kim said: “I don’t want to be part of this narrative and it’s like when is this ever going to end? Like it never will and I’m stuck with this for the rest of my life.”

Kris tells her daughter that she can’t ‘control somebody else’ but Kim says that his actions are impacting their young children.
She goes on to explain that if West were to hit ‘rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own’.
Kim continued: “I used to run around and call everyone behind his back and be like, ‘It’s going to be OK, don’t worry, just give him another chance’.
“I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my days as the clean-up crew.”
When Kris suggests this is why Kim divorced him, she explained that ‘doesn’t have that energy anymore,’ to which Kris replied: “Nobody does, and you never deserve to live like that.”

During a confessional, Kim adds: “It’s the hardest feeling, to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with, just be so different than who you knew.”
During the confessional, Kim opened up about protecting her children saying that she felt the need to ‘not talk about it and protect it from my kids and I always will feel that way… but like God, if people knew… I just would never do that to my kids. It just is really crazy’.
She said: “I am the one being accused for so many things and blamed for so many things and it’s really really hurtful and it sucks, but I can control how I react and if I’m a mess, my kids will see that.”
