Liam Payne’s suspected drug dealer Braian Nahuel Paiz has spoken out for the first time since his arrest in connection with the singer’s death in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A 24-year old-Argentinian waiter has spoken out about Liam Payne’s death and claimed the One Direction star was using a secret Instagram account before he died.

Braian Nahuel Paiz is one of three suspects being investigated over Liam’s death. Three people have been arrested in Buenos Aires in connection to the incident, with charges including abandonment of a person followed by death and the supply and facilitation of narcotics.

Braian alleged Liam had been using a secret Instagram account to communicate with him after they met at the restaurant where Braian worked, where the Strip That Down hitmaker had dined with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Speaking to journalist, Guillermo Panizza, Braian, on Argentinian TV on Saturday, Braian shared a previously unseen photo of Liam.

He also claimed to have only met with the star twice and alleged he took drugs with Liam, but vehemently denied supplying him or accepting payment.

Braian said a search has been carried out on his home, but he is yet to be quizzed by investigators. Reflecting on his time with Liam, Braian said: “I never supplied Liam with drugs.

Liam’s first contact with me was at my place of work. We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal. He came down from his hotel room to fetch me because I had got lost.”

The 24-year-old said he messaged Liam on the singer’s alleged private Instagram account. He added: “We got together there and he showed me some of the music he was going to bring out.

I’ve heard people saying he was taking drugs, but the truth is that when he got to the restaurant where I was working he was already under the effects of drugs and he didn’t actually eat anything.”

Braian, who claims to have spent a night with Liam where the singer consumed cocaine while he smoked marijuana, stated: “We took drugs together, but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money.”

The waiter is one of the three people investigated in connection with Liam’s death.

Braian claimed to have no idea who the other suspects are and said he was confused when he saw photos from Liam’s hotel room, saying: “When I saw the photos of the inside of Liam’s hotel room nothing made any sense to me.

The Dove soap packet was there when I was in the hotel but I couldn’t understand what it was for or the candles or the glass of water.”

It has been confirmed through tests that Liam had alcohol and cocaine in his system at the time of his death, along with traces of an antidepressant.

Prosecutors have dismissed the notion of suicide, explaining that Liam was in a state of “semi or total unconsciousness” and likely “didn’t know what he was doing.”

After the completion of toxicology tests, the singer’s body was returned to the UK. Liam’s funeral is expected to be held in his hometown of Wolverhampton.
