The WNBA has taken action against Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese over her conduct after Saturday’s game against the Indiana Fever.
Reese and college rival Caitlin Clark met for the first time in the pros, but their first WNBA clash was overshadowed by an incident between Angel’s teammate, Chennedy Carter, and the former Iowa star.
Carter hit Clark with a vicious shoulder barge, which was deemed a common foul during the game but has since been upgraded to a flagrant-1 by the WNBA.
The Sky shooting guard refused to answer questions about Clark or the foul while speaking to reporters after the Fever won 71-70.
“I ain’t answering no Caitlin Clark questions,” she said.
Her response, albeit terse, did not violate WNBA rules as she showed up for the postgame presser. And it was more than could be said for Reese, who was a no-show as far as the press was concerned after the contest.
Angel Reese And The Chicago Sky Fined
The former LSU star has been fined $1,000 for failing to make herself available to the media, with the Sky also fined for failing to ensure all of its players comply with the rules.
