Angel Reese found herself in the middle of a nasty situation on Saturday.

Her Chicago Sky team took on the Connecticut Sun at home. And the Sky ultimately lost the game, by a score of 86-82.

Although the game’s most notable moment came in the third quarter, when Suns forward Alyssa Thomas was ejected for a brutal foul on Reese.

The foul came when Reese and Thomas were jockeying for a rebound.

As Reese jumped in the air, Thomas wrapped her arm around Reese’s neck and swung her backwards.

Reese landed hard on her head after the brutal foul, and Thomas was ejected from the game as a result.

Despite the vicious play, Reese noted after the game that all is well between her and Thomas.

“It’s no hard feelings to AT,” Reese said. “Obviously I know she didn’t purposefully do it towards me. But just being able to go out there and just be strong and stand on two feet, it was going to be a tough game, and that’s what I’m built for.”

“I was prepared for it,” Reese added of the tough play.

Props to Reese for taking the high road.
